Directions from Airport
To get from Vienna airport to the Do Step Inn – Cental at “Südtiroler Platz” you have different options:
RAILJET:
The easiest and cheapest way would be to take the railjet train to ‘Wien Hauptbahnhof/ HBF’ (which is the central train station). From there it is only a 3 minutes walk as we are located right opposite of the station on Südtrioler Platz.
VIENNA AIRPORT BUS:
Otherwise there would be the option to take the Vienna airport bus (Homepage Airport Bus). Taxis however, are quite expensive and only necessary if you arrive between midnight and 5 AM, they will cost around €35.
Directions from train stations
Westbahnhof:
When you are in the Westbahnhof train station you need to take the tram number 18 in front of the ‘Westbahnhof’, direction ‘Schlachthausgasse’ to ‘Hauptbahnhof’. From there it is only a 3 minutes walk as we are located right opposite of the station Südtiroler Platz 3 .

Hauptbahnhof (main train station):
From the Hauptbahnhof it is only a 3 minutes walk as we are located right opposite of the station on Südtiroler Platz 3 .

Bahnhof Wien-Meidling:
When you arrive at the train station ‘Wien-Meidling’ you simply take any train (railway) that passes ‘Hauptbahnhof’ (most of them do). Since there are so many different once that go from Meilding to Hauptbahnhof we cannot provide a regular time table. However, you can simply look at the screens with the train information, they also write there what stations a train passes. From the Hauptbahnhof it is only a 3 minutes walk as we are located right opposite of the station on Südtiroler Platz 3 .

Directions from bus stations
Stadion:
The easiest way to get to us would be by underground! The subway Station ‘U2 Stadion’ is located right next to the bus station. Take subway line 2 (U2), direction ‘Karlsplatz’ to ‘Praterstern’ and change to subway U1, direction ‘Oberlaa’ to ‘Hauptbahnhof’. From the Hauptbahnhof it is only a 3 minutes walk as we are located right opposite of the station onSüdtiroler Platz 3 .
Approximate time to destination: 30 minutes
Erdberg:
The easiest way to get to us would be via underground! The subway Station ‘U3 Erdberg’ is located right next to the bus station. You simply take subyway line 3 (U3), direction ‘Ottakring’ to ‘Stephansplatz’ and change there in the subway line 1 (U1), direction Oberlaa to ‘Hauptbahnhof’. From the Hauptbahnhof it is only a 3 minutes walk as we are located right opposite of the station on Südtiroler Platz 3 .
Approximate time to destination: 21 minutes

Figlmüller
Figmüller set up shop over almost 100 years ago in 1905. As one of the oldest restaurants Figmüller is one Vienna’s scene restaurants where, according to legend, one is able to eat the best Wiener Schnitzel in town.

Siebensternbräu
Siebensternbräu is offering a wide range of Austrian specialities, besides Schnitzel and dumplings we strongly recommend trying their homemade beer. Siebenstern is not only a restaurant but also home to one of the old Viennese breweries. In the summertime you can enjoy sitting outside in the garden and it’s easy to reach by only 15 minutes on foot.

The centimetre, like the Siebensternbräu, is known for its traditional Austrian kitchen. The restaurant is popular especially among students for it serves big portions for a fairly cheap price. It is easy to reach either on foot or with the U3 undergorund line.

Orpheas is situated in the inner city just around the corner from St. Stephens Cathedral. It has a great range of Cretan and Greek food and also provides a big offer for vegetarians. Apart from a very beautiful interior design they have a very nice service. Best see for yourself

The ShanghaiTan is well known for it’s very unusual and magical interior design. Hundreds of chines lanterns are hanging from the ceiling and give the location a beautiful atmosphere. The place isn’t only a restaurant but also a bar so you will not be disappointed here whether you just want to go for a drink or like to dig into some asian food.

Naschmarkt Wien
The Naschmarket is the biggest market in Vienna. Saturday is your best bet to go there, for it also is a huge flee market then. During the rest of the week it’s a treasure trove for fresh vegetables, spices, cheese and of course delicate food. The lowest part of the market is only restaurants, here you can find food and dishes for fair prices from all over the world.

Otto Bauer
Ottobauer is a very special place. Besides its very extraordinary austrian-italien kitchen , the place is well known for a rather edgy design. They not only sells food but also all the vintage furniture you can sit on is home made and can be purchased there.

Thai Isaan kitchen
Very good and fairly cheap thai kitchen , unchallenged one of the best thai places in Vienna and just around the corner from Felberstrasse. It also offer a great range of vegetarian food.

O’Connors Irish Pub
Small but nice. This pub is a bit off the beaten track and might not seem very special on first glance however they have amazing pub food. As one of there chefs is award winning this is where you get the best irish pub-food in town. Whether you are in for some classic fish and chips or some irish stew I promise that you will not be disappointed. As it is a real insider tip make sure to reserve online or prepare for a bit of waiting.

Loving Hut
The loving hut is a completely vegan restaurant as close as you can get to us (only 10 minutes walking distance from Felberstrasse). Loving hut offers a wide range of vegan dishes whether you only like some soup or salad or some proper plates, you will even find vegan barbecue and burgers on their menu.

The Vegetasia is another really good thai restaurant specialized in vegetarian food. Even though the getting there is a bit of an adventure it is worth it. Vegetasia does offer a brilliant buffet and 3 to 5 course menus.

Viennese Coffee shops
Café Central
Café central is one of the very many traditional Viennese coffee shops in Vienna. Especially in the 20th century it was a well known café amongst writers, professors and philosophers like Sigmund Freud or Arthur Schnitzler. Today it offers a wide range of traditional austrian pastries in a unique atmosphere with piano live music.

Hawelka
Like the Café Central, Hawelka is one of the traditional Viennese coffee shop still arguing about being the oldest coffee shop in Vienna. With its ancient furniture and design it sends you on a time travel to the last century. Hawelka was and still is a meeting point for writers and scholars. Unfortunately it has become well known by tourists over the years therefore prices are quite high. Still, it’s definitely worth going and if you want to treat yourself try out there homemade “Wuchteln” a sweet austrain specialty normally served with custard cream that you should not miss out on.

A must go for all backpackers! The best and only Backpackers and travellers pub in Vienna only 10 minutes from our Hotel on Felberstrasse 20. Tours normally run regularly departing from travel shacks at about 9 to 9:30 p.m..

The nearest pharmacy is located on the Favoritenstraße 76B, 1110 Wien (8-minutes walking distance). Find the homepage here: Elisabeth-Apotheke. In Vienna pharmacies are usually open from Monday to Friday 8:00a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:00a.m. until 12:00 a.m. (lunch time) – Sundays are closed. However, there is always one ’emergency pharmacy’ that is open after hours and also on Sundays. Which pharmacy is on duty outside regular hours you can either find online or at a note pinned to the entrance door of every pharmacy (it changes daily).

We have a guestkitchen thats is equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, dish washer and a vending machine that all our guests can use – due to safety reason, we do not have an oven. You can use the guest kitchen on your day of arrival, before the rooms are ready as well as on your check-out date after leaving the room. The guestkitchen is open continously except during cleaning.

All three Vienna Cards can be bought at our reception in the main house on Felberstrasse or in every tourist information. Apart from the possibility of using all public transportation in the Vienna 100 Zone, you also receive a discount book with reductions to 210 different places (such as museums, attractions or restaurants) when purchasing those cards. The Vienna Cards have the same conditions as the 24h hours ticket, from the moment you validate the ticket, you can use it 24h, 48h or 72 hours.
Every purchased Vienna card includes one child below the age of 15 for free, meaning that the child can use public transportion free of charge.
