Directions from Airport
To get from Vienna airport to the Do Step Inn – Westbahnhof you have different options:
VIENNA AIRPORT BUS:
The easiest way to reach our Hotel from the Airport would be to catch the Vienna Airport Bus. A one way ticket costs EUR 8,00 or a return ticket costs EUR 7,00 each way (EUR 14,00 in total). (please note that these prices are not in relation to us, so there might be some changes, however, we are trying to keep the prices here up to date). The Bus will drop you off directly in front of the train station ‘Westbahnhof’ which is only a three minutes’ walk from our Hotel!
Schnellbahn (S7):
Another possibility is to take the railway (s7) from the Aiport to ‘Landstraße/ Wien-Mitte’ and following that, transfer to subway number 3 (U3), direction ‘Ottakring’ to ‘Westbahnhof’. A one-way ticket from the airport to Westbahnhof costs around EUR 4,40.
When you are in Westbahnhof train station you need to take the exit ‘Felberstraße’. Our main-house for Check-In is located on Felberstraße 20!.

Westbahnhof:
When you are at Westbahnhof train station you need to take the exit ‘Felberstraße’ and then take a left. Our main-house for Check-In is on Felberstraße 20.
Approximate time to destination: 5 minutes
Hauptbahnhof (main train station):
From the main train station (“Hauptbahnhof”) to our hotel you can simply take tram number 18, direction “Burggasse/ Stadthalle” “Westbahnhof”. When you are at Westbahnhof train station you need to take the exit ‘Felberstraße’ and take a left. Our main-house for Check-In is on Felberstraße 20.
Approximate time to destination: 26 minutes
Bahnhof Wien-Meidling:
When you arrive at the train station ‘Wien-Meidling’ simply take subway line 6 (U6), direction ‘Floridsdorf’ to ‘Westbahnhof’. Once you arrive at Westbahnhof train station you need to take the exit ‘Felberstraße’ and then take a left. Our main-house for Check-In is on Felberstraße 20.

Directions from bus stations
Stadion:
The easiest way to get to us would be by underground. The subway Station “U2 Stadion” is located right next to the bus station. Take subway line 2 (U2), direction ‘Karlsplatz’ to “Volkstheater” and change to subway U3, direction ‘Ottakring’ to “Westbahnhof”. When you are in the Westbahnhof train station you need to take the exit ‘Felberstraße’ and take a left. Our main-house for Check-In is: Felberstraße 20.

Erdberg:
The easiest way to get to us would be via underground! The subway Station “U3 Erdberg” is located right next to the bus station. You simply take subyway line 3 (U3), direction “Ottakring” to “Westbahnhof’. When you are in Westbahnhof train station you need to take the exit ‘Felberstraße’ and take a left. Our main-house for Check-In is on Felberstraße 20.

Viennese kitchen
Figlmüller
Figmüller set up shop over almost 100 years ago in 1905. As one of the oldest restaurants Figmüller is one Vienna’s scene restaurants where, according to legend, one is able to eat the best Wiener Schnitzel in town.

Siebensternbräu
Siebensternbräu is offering a wide range of Austrian specialities, besides Schnitzel and dumplings we strongly recommend trying their homemade beer. Siebenstern is not only a restaurant but also home to one of the old Viennese breweries. In the summertime you can enjoy sitting outside in the garden and it’s easy to reach by only 15 minutes on foot.

Centimeter
The centimetre, like the Siebensternbräu, is known for its traditional Austrian kitchen. The restaurant is popular especially among students for it serves big portions for a fairly cheap price. It is easy to reach either on foot or with the U3 undergorund line.

International kitchen
SAPA
Sapa is one of the best vietnamese restaurants in town and quite close to our Hotel. It’s well known for fresh woks and delicious fingerfood but also for it’s fresh chicken dishes.

Orpeheas
Orpheas is situated in the inner city just around the corner from St. Stephens Cathedral. It has a great range of Cretan and Greek food and also provides a big offer for vegetarians. Apart from a very beautiful interior design they have a very nice service. Best see for yourself

ShanghaiTan
The ShanghaiTan is well known for it’s very unusual and magical interior design. Hundreds of chines lanterns are hanging from the ceiling and give the location a beautiful atmosphere. The place isn’t only a restaurant but also a bar so you will not be disappointed here whether you just want to go for a drink or like to dig into some asian food.

Naschmarkt Wien
The Naschmarket is the biggest market in Vienna. Saturday is your best bet to go there, for it also is a huge flee market then. During the rest of the week it’s a treasure trove for fresh vegetables, spices, cheese and of course delicate food. The lowest part of the market is only restaurants, here you can find food and dishes for fair prices from all over the world.

Otto Bauer
Ottobauer is a very special place. Besides its very extraordinary austrian-italien kitchen , the place is well known for a rather edgy design. They not only sells food but also all the vintage furniture you can sit on is home made and can be purchased there.

Thai Isaan kitchen
Very good and fairly cheap thai kitchen , unchallenged one of the best thai places in Vienna and just around the corner from Felberstrasse. It also offer a great range of vegetarian food.

O’Connors Irish Pub
Small but nice. This pub is a bit off the beaten track and might not seem very special on first glance however they have amazing pub food. As one of there chefs is award winning this is where you get the best irish pub-food in town. Whether you are in for some classic fish and chips or some irish stew I promise that you will not be disappointed. As it is a real insider tip make sure to reserve online or prepare for a bit of waiting.

Vegetarian and Vegan
St. Josef Naturkost
The St. Josef’s originally set out as an organic food store and slowly turned into a restaurant which now provides an absolutely excellent vegan LUNCH (and lunch only) buffet and a daily menu. More over you can buy freshly baked organic cakes and other treats. Only open until about 5 p.m…

Loving Hut
The loving hut is a completely vegan restaurant as close as you can get to us (only 10 minutes walking distance from Felberstrasse). Loving hut offers a wide range of vegan dishes whether you only like some soup or salad or some proper plates, you will even find vegan barbecue and burgers on their menu.

Vegetasia
The Vegetasia is another really good thai restaurant specialized in vegetarian food. Even though the getting there is a bit of an adventure it is worth it. Vegetasia does offer a brilliant buffet and 3 to 5 course menus.

The world Café and Bar, first one of its kind, only sells fair trade and organic products.

Viennese Coffee shops
Café Central
Café central is one of the very many traditional Viennese coffee shops in Vienna. Especially in the 20th century it was a well known café amongst writers, professors and philosophers like Sigmund Freud or Arthur Schnitzler. Today it offers a wide range of traditional austrian pastries in a unique atmosphere with piano live music.

Hawelka
Like the Café Central, Hawelka is one of the traditional Viennese coffee shop still arguing about being the oldest coffee shop in Vienna. With its ancient furniture and design it sends you on a time travel to the last century. Hawelka was and still is a meeting point for writers and scholars. Unfortunately it has become well known by tourists over the years therefore prices are quite high. Still, it’s definitely worth going and if you want to treat yourself try out there homemade “Wuchteln” a sweet austrain specialty normally served with custard cream that you should not miss out on.

Café Neco
If you want something completely different to the classical Vienna “Kaffeehaus” then you might try Café Neco, the first austrian-japanese cat coffee shop – yes, cats. This coffee shop is rather known for its 5 furry dwellers than for its menu and is especially popular amongst those who aren’t allowed pets in their own place. Cuddling and playing welcome as far as the cats can be bothered…

Travel Shack Vienna
A must go for all backpackers! The best and only Backpackers and travellers pub in Vienna only 10 minutes from our Hotel on Felberstrasse 20. Travel shackss is open all week and offers colourful clientele, billiard, karaoke, Dart, cheap beer, creative shots and snacks. Travel shacks is also the meeting point for one of Viennas Pub Crawls. Tours normally run regularly departing from travel shacks at about 9 to 9:30 p.m..

The Bog Side Inn
One of the few pubs in Vienna, which offers hot mead. Very cozy. This pub is known for the peanuts, that are everywhere on the tables and the tradition of just throwing their empty shells on the floor.

Pharmacy:
The next pharmacy is located on Mariahilferstraße, 1070 Wien (10-minutes walking distance). The Homepage you find here: Pharmacy Homepage . In Vienna pharmacies are usually open from Monday to Friday 8:00a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:00a.m. until 12:00 a.m. (lunch time) – Sundays are closed. However, there is always one ’emergency pharmacy’ that is open after hours and also on Sundays. Which pharmacy is on duty outside regular hours you can either find online or at a note pinned to the entrance door of every pharmacy (it changes daily).

Vienna Card 24h|48|72
All three Vienna Cards can be bought at our reception in the main house on Felberstrasse or in every tourist information. Apart from the possibility of using all public transportation in the Vienna 100 Zone, you also receive a discount book with reductions to 210 different places (such as museums, attractions or restaurants) when purchasing those cards. The Vienna Cards have the same conditions as the 24h hours ticket, from the moment you validate the ticket, you can use it 24h, 48h or 72 hours.
Every purchased Vienna card includes one child below the age of 15 for free, meaning that the child can use public transportion free of charge.
Bicycles
Price per bicycle per day: EUR 7,50
For only EUR 7,50 per day you can rent one of our Do Step Inn bicycles. The earliest pick up time is 7:00 a.m. at the front desk. Please note that renting bikes requires an ID or passport to be left at reception as a deposit. All rented bicycles need to be retunred by latest 10 p.m..
Please note that we only have a limited number of bicycles and that it is not possible to reserve them, therefore it may occur that all bikes are in use. However, there is also the option to rent the Vienna city bikes for 1 EUR per hour. The nearest city bike point is at the train station
Due to bad weather or cold weather, we may not rent the Do Step Inn bicycles on some days. We appreciate your understanding.

Hostel: In the hostel building you can connect to the WiFi in the public areas (guest kitchen – downstairs in the building). Naturally, all our hostel guests are also welcome to hang out in the lounge, guest kitchen and garden of the hotel building and therefore connect to the WiFi there.
Do you want to have faster internet? We have a VIP-account for you!
During reception hours you can pick up your personal VIP-account against a small charge (directly to be paid at the front desk).

Laundry and Iron – Service
Laundry:
We offer a laundry service for EUR 18,50 per (up to) 8kg. You can pick up a basket from the reception for your clothes or simply drop them off there directly. We will wash and tumble dry your clothes overnight. So if you bring us your laundry during the day, it will be ready for pick up the following morning. Please be aware that we do not seperate your laundry. We wash everything together at 30-40 degrees (celsius).
Ironing:
We have an iron-service with a charge of EUR 2,40 per piece. As ironing is not available around the clock, please make an inquiry at the reception if you need this service.
Breakfast
Breakfast is not included in the room price but you can use our fully equipped guest kitchen 24 hours and the supermarket is just around the corner.
Daily, from 07:30 until 10:30 you can enjoy for EUR 7,90 per person our breakfast. Our buffet consists of:
- rolls, cake, bread, cereals
- jam, honey, nutella, butter
- cheese, ham, scrambled eggs
- fresh fruits
- coffee, tea, hot chocolate
In case of group bookings there may occur some waiting times in order to be seated. In case you are in a hurry please ask our receptionists the day before if there are reservations for the breakfast area.
In case you want to reserve a table for a special time, please also do this at our front desk the previous day. Please note that reservations for breakfast can only be made by groups of minimum 8 people.
Hotel-Bar
Our bar is open daily:
from 7:00 a.m. until midnight
During peak season opening times can change and the bar may be open until 2:00 a.m.. Please ask at the front desk for detailed information during zour stay.
Apart from a big variation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, we sell great italian coffee in Viennese style at our bar. Small snacks such as toast, special toast, sausages or ham and eggs can be bought there as well. Meet new people or simply hang out with your friend or familiy at our bar on the groundfloor in the hotel building (main building – next to the reception).
Fun Lounge
Opening times:
Our Fun Lounge is open continuously, however equipment for billiard and darts can only be used during reception hours and need to be returned by midnight.
Equipment:
Our Fun Lounge, equipped with billiard table and darts, is located in the main building, simply go downstairs next to the guest kitchen door. The Fun Lounge can be used for €5 per hour by all our guests (Hotel as well as Hostel guests). The necessary equipment (billiard sticks and darts) can be picked up at the reception.
Relax Zone
Guestkitchen
In our hotel building as well as in our hostel building we have a common kitchen that all our guests can use. Both kitchens are equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, dish washer and a vending machine – due to safety reason, we do not have an oven. You can use the guest kitchen on your day of arrival, before the rooms are ready as well as on your check-out date after leaving the room. The guest kitchens are open continously, except from 6 a.m. until 7 a.m. when they are closed for cleaning.
In our hotel building the guest kitchen is on the ground floor; in our hostel building you can find the guest kitchen when you walk downstairs.
Luggage Room
On the day of arrival as well as on the day of departure you have the possibility to use our luggage room for free until 11 p.m.. You can receive the key for the luggage room at the reception while checking in or out.
In case you want to store your luggage longer than 11 p.m. on your day of depature, please talk to the reception about prices und further details.
Please be aware that we do not take any responsibility for luggage or other things stored in our luggage room. Therefore, we recommend locking valuables such as laptop, money, etc. in one of the lockers. You can bring your own lock or buy one at the recpetion.
